Meet Sara

Hi, I'm Sara.

I am a learner-centered instructional designer with superpowers in making complex topics easy to understand.  This focus on making content as simple as possible helps learners be more likely to apply it.

While I'm skilled at creating content in a variety of formats, I let the learner needs, content, and client constraints guide my designs. The primary methodologies I typically use include backward design, ADDIE, and Andragogy with a bit of Bloom's Taxonomy and Gagne's Nine Events mixed in.

 

I started my career teaching elementary music before moving into corporate compliance, global trade, and Extension.  I have a Masters in Instructional Design and Technology from Walden University and continue to learn and grow through groups like IDOL Courses Academy and the eLearning Designer's Academy.  If you would like more details about my previous positions and experience, feel free to contact me. 

 

Learning and sharing with others is my passion, but when I'm not designing you can find me reading, enjoying a good cup of tea, gardening, or playing with my dog.
